  1. Buc-ee's is coming soon to Marion County near I-75, north of Ocala, and will feature an 80,000-square-foot travel center. The massive gas station concept first opened in Texas in 1982. A store opening is planned for 2025. (Click Orlando)
  2. Crayola Experience Orlando is launching OceanX Adventure filled with games, crafts, and more. The ocean-themed experience will run through Aug. 14 and tickets are now available. OceanX is a global nonprofit ocean exploration organization. (Attractions Magazine)
  3. AdventHealth and Orlando Health are partnering with the University of Central Florida (UCF) to help address a nursing shortage in Florida. The two hospital systems have pledged $5 million towards a new College of Nursing in Lake Nona. The new college can increase enrollment numbers by nearly 50 percent. (Bungalower)
  4. Florida attorney general (AG) Ashley Moody is arguing in court that the federal court in Tallahassee has no jurisdiction over Gov. Ron DeSantis and the secretary for the state's Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) due to legislative immunity in a lawsuit between Walt Disney World and DeSantis. Moody also cites the 11th amendment of the U.S. Constitution in her filing. (Yahoo! News)
  5. The community is speaking out after State Attorney Bill Gladson said the state will not seek murder charges against a white woman accuse of murdering her Black neighbor. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump decried the decision stating, "None of us in the Black community could fathom shooting somebody through a door and not being arrested immediately." The community rallied with calls of "Justice for AJ!" (WFTV)
