1. A judge has sided with bars in Tampa and Orlando after the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) last year tried to block dogs from being inside establishments. The judge cited an inconsistent policy that allowed dogs in some counties and attempted to ban it in others. The health department used sanitation certificates as its basis for banning pets, but also has been inconsistent in how it uses them, according to the judge. (Orlando Weekly)
2. An Orlando man is facing charges after authorities said he injured a Ukrainian refugee on a scooter with his vehicle, then fled the scene on Monday morning in College Park. He is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash with injuries. A GoFundMe has been set up to help her with medical expenses as the victim lacks health care. (Click Orlando)
3. Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando will host a special screening of "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" this August at the Walt Disney Theater. It will add a musical component to the experience with an orchestra and a DJ scratching live. Tickets are now on sale. (Orlando Weekly)
4. An Orlando man is accused by police of shooting a gun at his ex-girlfriend. The incident happened at 1300 block of Willow Wind Drive on June 8, according to police. The suspect is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, robbery by sudden snatching, and witness tampering. (WFTV)
5. Osceola Clerk of the Circuit Court & County Comptroller Kelvin Soto and his team have been recognized for following best practices recommended for use by all Florida Clerks & Comptrollers. Civil Division Director Michelle Shephard and Criminal Division Director Catherine Smith accepted the award for the office. A total of 57 clerks and comptrollers were recognized by the state.
