School Bus Fire In Woods Contained: North Port Fire Rescue

NORTH PORT, FL — Firefighters got a vehicle fire under control in the wooded area behind the Shoppes at North Port, a shopping plaza at Toledo Blade and Price boulevards, Friday afternoon.

North Port police also responded to the scene, where an out-of-commission school bus is on fire, the North Port Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post.

There were no injuries or damage to nearby businesses.

The blaze temporarily reduced Toledo Blade Boulevard in that area to one southbound lane. The roadway has since reopened, firefighters said.
