Daylight Saving Time 2016: When Does It Begin In Seminole Heights?

It's almost time for Florida residents to spring those clocks ahead one hour.

TAMPA, FL — Florida residents eager to gain an extra hour of daylight in the evening hours don’t have to wait much longer.

Daylight Saving Time officially begins on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2 a.m. While most smartphones and computers will make the change automatically, some watches and clocks might need to be moved ahead before residents head to bed Saturday night.

The kick off of Daylight Saving Time is also an excellent time to check batteries on smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. These devices should be inspected regularly, local fire officials say.
