Stamkos, Hedman, Brown To Sign Autographs In Seminole Heights

The Tampa Bay Lightning players will accept toy donations to help underserved children in Seminole Heights.

TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Bay Lightning are doing their part to help the people of Seminole Heights get back to normal after a trying two months.

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Stephen Stamkos, defenseman Victor Hedman and forward J.T. Brown will sign autographs at three different locations in Seminole Heights on Monday, Dec. 4 from 5 to 6 p.m. The Lighting players are appearing as a show of support of local businesses in Seminole Heights and to encourage area residents to shop in the central Tampa neighborhood.

The South Seminole Heights neighborhood had been on edge after four murders since early October had rocked the community. On Wednesday, Nov. 29, the Tampa Police Department charged Howell Emanuel “Trai” Donaldson III, 24, with four counts of first-degree murder.

To receive an autograph from the players, fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy. The toys will be donated to underserved elementary school-aged children in Seminole Heights during the holidays.

The signings will take place at three Seminole Heights locations:

  • Steven Stamkos: Brew Bus Brewing, 4101 N. Florida Ave., Tampa
  • Victor Hedman: Fodder & Shine, 5910 N. Florida Ave., Tampa
  • J.T. Brown and Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan: Ella’s Americana Folk Art Café, 5119 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa

The Tampa Police Department will participate at all three locations. There will be a limit of one autograph or posed photo per person.
