Canadian Passenger In SUV Dies In 3-Vehicle St. Pete Crash: Police

ST. PETE, FL — A passenger in an SUV driven by a Canadian that crashed into two other vehicles while making a left turn died Sunday in the crash, St. Petersburg Police said.

A Hyundai Tucson driven by Dorothy Mosher, 83, of Nova Scotia, Canada, was westbound on the Pinellas Bayway about 7:15 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle attempted to make a left turn on to Bahia Del Mar Boulevard South, a police news release said.

Authorities said Philip Rose, 89, of Nova Scotia, Canada, who was a passenger in Mosher's Hyundai, later died of his injuries at the hospital.

A gray Toyota Corolla, driven by Andrea Tatsch, 26, of St. Petersburg, was eastbound on the Pinellas Bayway. The Hyundai entered the path of the Toyota and the vehicles collided at the intersection of Bahia Del Mar Boulevard South.

The Hyundai then struck a Buick Enclave stopped at a stop sign on Bahia Del Mar Boulevard South, police said.

The three occupants in the Hyundai and the driver of the Toyota were all taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment.

The Buick driver, who was not identified, was not hurt.
