SEMINOLE, FL — An off-duty Orlando police officer was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Sunday morning in Seminole, according to a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputies saw Cesar Hernandez Castillo, 39, drive his SUV over a raised center median in the area of Park Boulevard and 86th Lane just after 1 a.m.

Hernandez Castillo “exhibited signs of impairment, including the strong odor of alcoholic beverage, bloodshot and glassy eyes, and poor balance,” the sheriff’s office said.

He refused to perform field sobriety tests or provide a breath sample.

After his arrest, he was booked into Pinellas County Jail.
