ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A man shot his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend early Thursday morning, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.

The couple was sitting in a car in an alley near 2353 13th Street S. when Keiondre Church, 23, fired shots at the new boyfriend just before 1 a.m.

The two men exchanged gunfire, leaving the couple with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Church is hospitalized in critical condition, the agency said.

He was charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
