Shooting Suspect Charged With Attempted Murder: St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The suspect in a domestic-related shooting has been arrested, according to a St. Petersburg Police Department news release.
Jacob Merrett, 35, was charged with attempted murder in the first degree.
Officers responded to reports of a man shot in a home on 64th Avenue South just before 2 a.m., police said.

Merrett, who knew the victim, lived at the home.
The victim survived the shooting and is being treated at a hospital, police said.
