Monica Martinez Named Advocate Health Advisors Project Manager

Advocate Health Advisors has named Monica Martinez project manager, a role that will help the company better serve Medicare recipients making choices about their healthcare.

Advocate Health Advisors agents are Medicare experts who serve as trusted advisors for community members who are Medicare eligible and specialize in helping those turning 65. The Southwest Florida-based company has agents in all 50 states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Martinez, based in Tampa, will collaborate with Advocate Health Advisors team members to provide structure around projects and implement operational plans for successful execution and completion of projects.

“Monica is already helping our team to be more structured and strategic. And that will help us better serve our agents and improve how we meet the needs of those turning 65,” Advocate Health Advisors Compliance Officer Alissa Morris said.

Prior to joining Advocate Health Advisors, Martinez worked for two years at Health Services Advisory Group in Tampa as a project manager on Medicare contracts. In that role, Martinez focused on quality improvement, managed a project that provided education to clinicians to successfully report quality data to CMS and increased webinar attendance by 60%.

In previous roles, Martinez worked in the Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit at Advent Health in Carrollwood and worked in cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center.

“I look forward to combining my healthcare knowledge with my project management experience in order to make a difference in the community and contribute to Advocate Health Advisors’ mission and vision,” Martinez said.

Martinez holds a Master of Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Biology from the University of South Florida.
