Original Burger 21 Sets ‘Re-Grand Opening’

TAMPA, FL — Burger 21 fans who like getting their fix at the location that started it all are invited to celebrate the eatery’s “re-grand opening.” After busily working before and after-hours to update the store’s appearance, officials are ready to roll out the new look to customers during a celebration set for Sept. 25-29.

To mark the occasion, guests who dine in at the 9664 W. Linebaugh Ave. establishment during the week will receive “mystery scratch off cards,” a media release from the company said. Prizes offered on the cards will be redeemable on a guest’s next visit. Prizes include menu items and bigger offers like free burgers for a year. While the eatery never stopped serving up burgers during its transformation, it underwent an extensive “rebranding, including a renovated dining room,” Burger 21 officials said. New menu boards, art, furniture and outside signage were also added.

“I’m very excited to share the changes we’ve made to our dining experience here in Westchase at our first ever Burger 21 restaurant,” Mark Johnston, president of Burger 21 and owner of the Westchase location, said in a statement. “Now that all the updates are complete, it’s time to welcome guests in and celebrate the best way we know how, with a delicious meal.”

Burger 21 launched in Westchase in November 2010, one year after the owners of The Melting Pot came up with the concept. The chain now has locations across Florida and in such other states as Texas, New York, New Jersey and Georgia.
