Paul Mitchell the School Celebrates Tampa Grand Opening Sunday

Co-founder John Paul Dejoria is expected to be on hand at the Westfield Citrus Park festivities.

Tampa Bay area residents looking for a place to get their hair done might want to check out Westfield Citrus Park’s newest addition.

The Paul Mitchell School celebrates its grand opening at the 7823 Citrus Park Town Center mall on Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. Paul Mitchell co-founder and celebrity John Paul Dejoria is expected to attend the “red carpet event,” according to a media release on the opening.

Dejoria, 71, has been called the king of shampoo and tequila by Forbes magazine. He makes the publication’s billionaire list at number 663 with an estimated net worth of $2.8 billion.

Guests at the opening will be treated to live entertainment, food and beverages, photo opportunities with John Paul and a tour of the new school.

The school offers classes in cosmetology, barbering and makeup while making a host of services available to the public. Haircuts from students start at $10 while a mustache trim will set a customer back $3.
