ALPHARETTA, GA — A gas leak has closed Briars Bend in Alpharetta to all traffic, according to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

Authorities described the gas leak in the 500 block of Briars Bend as "significant."

Drivers should avoid the area and residents in the vicinity are being told to stay indoors until further notice.
