Here’s Why Samantha Was Shouted Out As An Atlanta Star Student

ATLANTA, GA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Samantha is a well-rounded young woman with a bright future. Not only is she an outstanding student in the classroom, but she has been involved in numerous clubs and sports allowing her to have various leadership and service opportunities. Her stellar academics, leadership and character led her to be selected for the Western Golf Association’s Caddie Academy. For the past two summers, she has worked in the program as a golf caddie. Recently, she was named a finalist and was selected for the prestigious Chick Evans Scholarship, providing full tuition and housing to college. She plans to study neuroscience (at a university).

In addition to her accomplishments within the Caddie Academy, Samantha is the vice president of the National Honor Society and vice president for Service and Development in a chapter of the Hispanic Organization Promoting Education. She is also a member of the Varsity golf and cross-country teams, a student ambassador and a member of the BETA club, theatre club and Investment club. She has been an honors student and maintained noteworthy grades throughout her high-school career.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Samantha has a bright future ahead of her and is an excellent representation of the young talent and leaders in our community.
