Activity and Fitness Center in Bethlehem Welcomes New Director

Anissa Sullivan has been hired as the new director of the R. Harold Harrison Activity and Fitness Center, a ministry of Bethlehem First UMC.

Since 2011, the R. Harold Harrison Activity and Fitness Center has been a wonderful addition to Bethlehem First United Methodist Church. Now the Activity and Fitness Center begins a new chapter by announcing a new addition to the Activity and Fitness Center staff. Anissa Sullivan has been hired as the new director of the Activity and Fitness Center. Anissa has been one of the fitness instructors for the last several months, and is excited to begin her new role with the Activity and Fitness Center. Anissa is a certified personal trainer and leads the Senior Fitness class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, as well as strength and cardio classes in the evenings.

Anissa has been a certified personal trainer since 2009. Her goal as a trainer is to help clients achieve a balanced lifestyle that encompasses all dimensions of health and wellness. With an extensive background in coaching, Anissa tries to create a training environment that not only motivates but also empowers individuals to continually challenge themselves in a fun and rewarding way.

Anissa is a very energetic and positive person, which she attributes to putting God first in everything she does in her life. Her motto is, “Try it before you say you can’t do it”. Anissa has been married to her husband for 10 years and they have 3 beautiful boys, who keep her on her toes at all times.

Anissa’s responsibilities at the Harrison Activity and Fitness Center will include management of the fitness center and oversight to recreational programs, such as youth soccer, basketball, and cheerleading, pickleball for senior adults, and karate.

The R. Harold Harrison Activity and Fitness Center exists so people may grow stronger in mind, body, and spirit by providing fitness and nutritional services to the community. The Activity and Fitness Center is a ministry of Bethlehem First United Methodist Church, and named after the late R. Harold Harrison. Mr. Harrison was a state senator for Georgia, local community leader, a member of Bethlehem First United Methodist Church, and owner of Harrison Poultry in Bethlehem, GA. To learn more about the R.
