Here’s Why Zaharah Was Shouted Out As A Barrow Star Student

BARROW, GA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Zaharah is an excellent student. She exemplifies what hard work looks like while playing sports, volleyball and soccer for her school and club volleyball. She has kept a 4.0 GPA the entire time. She is also involved in her theater program at school, where they put on full productions. Zaharah is the coordinator for the community service projects, which include performing for senior citizens, collecting food and reading to the local children. She has acted as captain for both her sports teams. With all she does, she continues to inspire others.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Zaharah is a hard worker and wants to be the best at whatever she puts her mind to.
