The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said deputies have been at the scene of a shooting late Monday afternoon where a 9-year-old was apparently shot.

The agency said on Facebook the scene was in the area of Highway 82 and Giles Road.
The roadway was blocked for a time for a life-flight helicopter to land.
