Deputies arrived three minutes after being dispatched by Cherokee 911, but the suspect, Christopher Thomas, 30, of Acworth, had already left the scene.

Cherokee detectives are searching for Thomas. He is possibly driving a black Kia sedan. Witnesses said he was wearing a hat or bandanna at the time of the incident, so officials are unable to confirm the current length of his hair.

If anyone sees or has knowledge of his whereabouts, they are urged to call 911.
