CUMMING, GA β€” A 56-year-old Auburn man died Wednesday after Forsyth County authorities said a pickup truck failed to yield to his motorcycle and crashed into it at a Cumming intersection.

The accident happened around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard and Buford Dam Road, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office in a news release Thursday.

A 2001 Harley Davidson was traveling north on Veteran's Memorial, and a 2022 Ford F-150 was traveling east on Buford Dam, authorities said. The Ford crashed into the Harley Davidson at the intersection after not yielding to the vehicle, authorities said, noting impairment was not a factor in the accident.
