Barricaded Suspect Arrested In Forsyth County Home

After an all-night SWAT standoff, a 45-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault and false imprisonment.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA β€” A Forsyth County man has been arrested after an all-night SWAT standoff, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said.

Shortly before 7 p.m. on Thursday, Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 6515 Mountain Vista Court regarding a domestic incident with injuries.

The caller said a female and juvenile who reside in the house had left and were at a neighbor’s home. The man involved, later identified as Stephan Reynolds, 45, had several weapons in the home, deputies said. Forsyth County SWAT team was called when Reynolds would not come out of the home.

After several hours, the SWAT team was able to locate Reynolds inside the home. He was close to an AR-15 rifle at the time of his arrest, deputies said.

Reynolds has been charged with two counts of false imprisonment, aggravated assault with a gun, aggravated battery and cruelty to children. He was taken to the Forsyth County Jail where he is being held on no bond.
