Daniel Jean Bouchard, 56

Daniel Jean Bouchard, 56, of Cumming, GA passed away on June 2, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Dan was born on May 15, 1959 in Moonbeam, Ontario, Canada where he grew up. He went to Ottawa University to become an mechanical engineer where he graduated as valedictorian, and started his career of 33 years with Kimberly-Clark. He married on his birthday, May 15, 1982, to Monique Lachance from Kapuskasing, Ontario. Throughout his career, he and his family lived in many different countries including Canada, France, England, and the United States. He also traveled all over the world working for projects for the company. He finished his career in Roswell, GA as an engineering manager.

Outside of his career, Dan was a musician, handyman, marathon and triathlon runner, continuous learner, and world traveler. Dan had a passion for everything he did and gave more than one-hundred percent in his projects and as a husband, father and grandfather. Among all his interests, his immediate family was the most important to him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Monique Bouchard; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Adam Churney; daughter, Isabelle Bouchard; Elodie Bouchard; grandson, Asher Churney; father, Raymond Bouchard; mother, Jeannine Bouchard; brother and sister-in-law, Pierre Bouchard and Danielle Groulx; brother and sister-in-law, Luc and Monique Bouchard; sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Bruno Bourgon; sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Roch Lapointe.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Cumming, GA, with interment to follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
