  1. Forsyth County business owners, Ashley Brandt and Zoe Hill, are collaborating to support local nonprofits and assist a nearby Dawson County pumpkin patch in reopening for the 2023 season. Their businesses, Ash & Co Salon and ZoAesthetics, located in North Forsyth, are celebrating anniversaries this year, and they have rallied their teams to help prepare Bradley's Pumpkin Patch in Dawson County for its fall reopening.   2. A Teacher Appreciation Kickball tournament will kick off on Oct. 1 at Central Park Athletic Complex in Cumming. Hosted by Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, this free event is open to all Forsyth County school faculty. All teams must comprise school staff and have a minimum of three female players.
