  1. One of the biggest events of the year for Dalton-Whitfield County Library is fast approaching! College Day at the Library will be held on Apr. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Representatives from six area colleges and universities will be at the event in addition to representatives from social and civic organizations. Ask questions, get to know more about your programs of interest, and meet other prospective college students! The event is open to all interested students.   2. Have you always dreamed of being an accountant? The North Georgia Health Department in Dalton has an opening for an accountant position! The job recipient will be expected to prepare reports, analyze financial information, maintain a record of assets, and more.   3. Don't miss the free concert on Friday, Apr. 28, that will celebrate the 24th annual Georgia Cities Week!   • The Dalton High School (DHS) botany class will hold its annual plant sale on Thursday, Apr. 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the greenhouse at DHS. Summer squash, milkweed, Roma tomatoes, cilantro, basil, dill, and much more will be sold! (Dalton High School via Twitter)
  • Want to celebrate Earth Day? You can help do a massive litter cleanup at one of Dalton’s historical sites, Hamilton House. Unfortunately, part of the property has been trashed.
