  1. The Dalton Dance Company will host the final performance for 11 seniors this coming weekend as part of the Dalton Arts Project's performances of "Reflections." The spring dance concert will be the last hoorah for these seniors as a group as they will all pursue their individual dreams this coming fall at various universities. The concert will have a 7:30 p.m. showing on Friday and Saturday and a 2:00 p.m. showing on Sunday in the Dalton High School Theater. Tickets are available at the dance studio or at the door of the show. (Dalton Daily Citizen)
  2. The 13 members who will serve as part of the Dalton State College Presidential Search Committee were named this weekend as the college begins its nationwide search to find a replacement for Dr. Maragaret H. Venable who will be retiring this summer. Venable has been the president of the college since 2015 and worked with the University System of Georgia for over 30 years. The committee will have its first meeting on Mar. 23 where they will officially get their roles and duties in the search. (usg.edu)
  3. The Southeastern Hot Rod Show is making a stop in Dalton on Jun. 16 and 17. Greg Grier organized the event, which will be held at North Georgia Fairgrounds and will feature food, music, and a collection of local hot rods and muscle cars. Vehicle registration will be $30 and spectators are being charged $10 with attendees 10 and under able to get in for free. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
