GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Police are searching Tuesday for a man they say was one of two men responsible for a string of car burglaries in two Gwinnett County cities.

The first burglary happened on April 17, when a man reported his car had been broken into at White Birch Way in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Police said the man's gun was stolen during the theft.

Police said another theft took place on May 17, when a person's credit cards were stolen and illegally used at a Lawrenceville retail store. Detectives visited the store and obtained images of the suspects and a car description of what they were driving, police said.

On May 20, several more car burglaries were reported in the area of Berkshire Eve Drive in unincorporated Duluth. Detectives discovered that the same suspects may have been responsible, police said.

Then, a suspect's vehicle was found on May 24. Police did not say where the car was located. Officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver left the car and ran away from the scene, police said. A stolen gun was found inside of the car, police said.
