LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The results are in, and Gwinnett County has made its selections in the 2022 general election.

The nationally-watched election pitted Republican Gov. Brian Kemp against Democrat Stacey Abrams once more and Kemp is projected to return to the governor's seat.

In the U.S. Senate race between incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker, neither candidate met the voting requirement of 50 percent plus one, so the pair is projected to meet in a Dec. 6 runoff.

Incumbent Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is also projected to win his race.
Other incumbents that led their races statewide were Attorney General Chris Carr, Insurance Commissioner John King and State School Superintendent Richard Woods.

Secretary of State: Bee Nguyen (D), 156,819 votes; Brad Raffensperger (R), 131,896 votes; Ted Metz (L), 7,961 votes
