Gwinnett Police Department Marks 30 Years Of CALEA Accredidation

It's the first law enforcement agency in Georgia to earn the commission's Tri-Arc Award.

The Gwinnett Police Department is celebrating 30 years (1993-2023) of law enforcement accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), Inc.

Additionally, in November 2021, the Gwinnett Police received the Communications Accreditation and Training Academy Accreditation, making Gwinnett Police the first law enforcement agency in Georgia to earn CALEA's Tri-Arc Award.

CALEA aims to improve the delivery of public safety services by keeping a body of professional standards that support the administration of accreditation programs. CALEA accreditation succeeds through agency leadership, agency personnel, and the community. We received and maintained these prestigious certifications through professional, honorable, and compassionate service.
