Man Dies After Leaping From Suwanee Bridge: Police

All I-85 south lanes have since been reopened near Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.

SUWANEE, GA — A man was killed Thursday morning after he leapt from the Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road bridge near Interstate 85 south, Suwanee Police said.

The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. and shut down I-85 south lanes. Police identified the man as a 24-year-old Demorest resident.

Shortly after 12:45 p.m., all lanes had been reopened, according to the state transportation alert system, 511 GA.
