Lawrenceville Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Brother

Police said the man shot through a bedroom door and struck his brother at a Brook Lea Cove home.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A Lawrenceville man is being charged in connection with his brother's shooting death Sunday afternoon at Brook Lea Cove, Gwinnett County Police said Monday.

Police said Justin Lacy, 21, was charged on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies. Lacy's arrest is in connection with the shooting death of Bryson Moten, 31, of Lawrenceville, police said.

Lacy was inside of the Brook Lea home around 2:45 p.m., when he shot through a bedroom door and struck Moten, police said. Following the shooting, family members attempted to render aid, but Moten died of his injuries, police said.

Lacy was taken to the Gwinnett County Jail, police said.
