No Injuries In Lawrenceville House Fire

The home in Lawrenceville suffered fire and smoke damage Wednesday.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — There were no injuries in a fire Wednesday morning in the 1400 block of Riverwood Court, according to the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services Department.

The fire was located at a single-story home, and it took three hose lines to extinguish the fire, the fire department said late Wednesday afternoon. The home suffered extensive fire and smoke damage.

The cause and manner of the fire were not released. Fire officials used the case to advise about the burn ban that is currently in effect until Sept. 30.

"Rubbish fires are considered illegal on non-burn days. Please make sure all embers are fully extinguished before leaving unattended," fire officials said in a news release.
