LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The public's help is being sought in finding two suspects accused of shooting at a shoe kiosk employee Saturday at Sugarloaf Mills Mall, Gwinnett County Police said.

Police said Friday the employee was not injured in the shooting.

Officers were working at the mall around 7:15 p.m., when they heard few gunshots inside of the mall. Police said as multiple officers were responding, patrons were running from the mall and calling 911 about a possible active shooter.

Two people had gotten into an argument with the employee, which led to a physical confrontation and then the shooting. Police said one or both of the suspects shot at the employee; however, no one was injured in the shooting.

In audio released by police Friday, a person can be heard saying a man with a gun ran out into the mall parking lot near Ross.

Two video surveillance clips were released, both showing people running from the scene. In one of the clips, a person in black is labeled as a suspect. While the second video was not labeled, police said it shows the second suspect.

"The incident was frightening and caused immediate panic among the patrons of the mall. The incident was an isolated argument and was not an active shooter. Detectives are asking for help in identifying the suspects that created this frantic chaos and put the community at risk who were trying to enjoy their Saturday evening," police said in a news release.

Police said one of the suspects wore black pants and a black T-shirt, had short hair and was carrying a backpack. The second suspect wore white or tan shorts and a black T-shirt and had slightly longer hair.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Gwinnett detectives, (770) 513-5300. Anonymous tipsters can call Crime Stoppers Atlanta, (404) 577-8477, or visit its website.
