Person Of Interest Sought In Killing Of Lawrenceville Man

Police said the suspects used a stolen car from DeKalb County to drive away from the scene of the Gwinnett shooting.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A person of interest is being sought in the March shooting death of Jonathan Royce Wiley Jr., Gwinnett County Police said Thursday.

Police released surveillance photos of two suspects, one of which is a Black male in his late teens to early 20s. He was last seen with short dreadlocks, police said.

The person of interest is connected to a DeKalb County investigation involving a stolen car, the same car police said the suspects used to drive away from the Gwinnett shooting. The car was recovered, police said.

Wiley was found shot to death on March 25 at his Oak Vista Court home. A motive in the shooting is unknown.
