Multiple People Injured In 5-Vehicle Crash On I-75 S In Marietta

MARIETTA, GA β€” All lanes have reopened, and multiple people were injured in a 5-vehicle crash Tuesday on Interstate 75 south at South Marietta Parkway, according to the state traffic alert system Georgia 511 and Marietta Police.

11Alive reported children were among those injured in the crash, that included day-care buses, a pick-up truck and a semi-truck.

Marietta Police Public Information Officer Chuck McPhilamy told Patch shift officers worked the accident, and injuries sustained should not be life-threatening.

According to Georgia 511, the crash had four right lanes blocked on the interstate. It is unknown what caused the accident.
