Cobb County Animal Control is waiving fees so you can take a pet 'Home for the Holidays.'

MARIETTA, GA -- Want a furry friend to cozy up to this winter? If you live in metro Atlanta, all you have to do is come to Cobb County.

Cobb County Animal Control in Marietta is waiving adoption fees as part of a promotion to get pets in homes for the holidays. But you've got to act fast, the offer ends on Saturday.

Animals that have gotten all their shots are available for free this week as part of the agency's "Home for the Holidays" promotion that began Thursday and will run up to Christmas Eve.

"We want to find forever homes for these dogs and cats," Jake Arnold, shelter supervisor told WXIA-TV.

The shelter is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
