Funeral Today For Woman Murdered in Her Powder Springs Home

Jenna Wall was allegedly shot to death by her mother-in-law, who police say got Wall's children out of the home before killing her.

Marietta, GA -- The funeral for the woman who was murdered last week in her Powder Springs home is set for today.

According to the victim's online obituary, Jenna Wall's service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at West Cobb Church in Marietta. There will be a private burial for the family.

In a case that is drawing national media attention, Wall, 25, a Cobb County school teacher, was allegedly shot to death by her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Wall, on June 23. The suspect, now being held without bond in the Cobb County jail, allegedly drove to Jenna Wall's home; gathered her two grandchildren, ages 7 and 8 and put them in her car; and then went back inside the house and shot the woman.

When police arrived, they found Elizabeth Wall inside the home and took her into custody.

Jenna Wall was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. She was a 1998 honors graduate from Harrison High School. She graduated in 2002 from UGA with honors and attended Mercer University to obtain her teaching certificate in Elementary and Special Education. She was currently working on a program to add Target to her resume.

Her first career was with Enterprise where she managed a branch and then went into corporate sales. She became a teacher in 2010, teaching 5th and 4th grades, and finally felt settled on teaching kindergarten at Kemp Elementary.
