Lights Of Joy, Georgia's Biggest Residential Light Display, Returns For Holiday Season

COBB COUNTY, GA — The annual Lights of Joy light display is back again for another holiday season.

Kennesaw-based Lights of Joy, Georgia's largest residential holiday light display, opened Sunday and will stay lit up through Jan. 2. It's open from 6-11 p.m. each day.

The huge display features over 850,000 lights across more than 60 miles and over 230 trees, including a Tunnel of Joy with 80,000 lights; an Inside Circle dubbed "the best part" on the Lights of Joy website; musical lights and nine musical trees that are synchronized to Christmas music, which visitors can tune into by turning their radios to 102.1 FM from their cars as they drive through the display.

The display also features Santa characters, including St. Nick in a helicopter, on a tractor and on a golf cart, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

This year's display will also have live performances from Kennesaw State Musicians at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 and Yule Slide Trombone Choir at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 and Sunday, Dec. 19, according to the website.

Visitors are encouraged to park across the street at the Influencers Church, located at 1455 Ben King Road, and walk to see the lights in the Inside Circle, which has about 400,000 lights and is not part of the drive-thru display. Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the Inside Circle.
