Don “Big Daddy” McAfee, 77, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Marietta with Dr. Sam Matthews, Rev. Elaine Wilder, and Rev. Brian Smith officiating.
Don was a lifelong resident of Marietta. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1957 and served 8 years in the National Guard. Don owned and operated Don McAfee Construction and Development Company for 51 years until he semi-retired in 2014. He developed and built in Marietta. Don was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Marietta and a life
member of the John Strother Sunday School Class. One if his proudest accomplishments was the Chapel at the Park on Polk.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Lewis McAfee of Marietta; daughter, Leigh McAfee Smith of Marietta; sister, Ruth McAfee Murphy of Marietta; and granddaughter, Madison Smith of Marietta.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the Church Parlor.
