Marietta's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Comes To Town

The city's tree lighting ceremony is back next week with Santa letter-writing stations, Festival of Trees, choir performances and more.

The annual holiday tradition is set for Thursday, Dec. 2 at Glover Park, starting at 4 p.m. with local school and church choirs — then Santa will make a grand entrance to help light up the tree.

MARIETTA, GA — The time for tree lighting celebrations, Christmas carols and Santa Claus visits is back again, including the city of Marietta's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony and Santa on the Square.

The annual holiday tradition is set for Thursday, Dec. 2 at Glover Park, starting at 4 p.m. with local school and church choirs — then Santa will make a grand entrance to help light up the tree.
