COBB COUNTY, GA — As the weight of the COVID-19 pandemic eases and more people are getting vaccinated, Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water recently updated their COVID-19 protocols for mask-wearing guidance.

Fully-vaccinated Six Flags team members and guests no longer have to wear masks in the park, officials said, and are only recommended — not required — for unvaccinated visitors. And since May 22, you no longer have to make a reservation to visit the parks.

Additionally, there are no more temperature screenings to enter the parks and social distancing is not required.

"Consistent with [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidance, we will continue to recommend masks for unvaccinated individuals, including guests and team members," Six Flags officials said in a statement. "We remain dedicated to maintaining the highest cleanliness and sanitization standards within all of our attractions and facilities."

Enhanced cleaning measures are still in place at both Six Flags locations, and officials request that all visitors practice proper hygiene such as frequent handwashing and using the hand sanitizing stations located throughout the parks.
