MARIETTA, GA β€” A water main break closed down a busy intersection Wednesday morning in Cobb County, and it's expected to be closed through the afternoon, according to media reports. A crew is working to repair the underground pipe at the intersection of Sandy Plains and Ebenezer roads, TV station CBS46 reported.

Repairs to the road also have to be completed before the intersection can reopen, CBS46 reported.

The water main break was caused by a contractor who struck a fire hydrant, TV station 11Alive reported.
