Georgia Weather Forecast: More Strong Storms Coming

Find out how hot it will get later in the week, when metro Atlanta's chance for thunderstorms actually dies down a little bit.

ATLANTA, GA — The stormy weather will be back in force this week in metro Atlanta, according to the National Weather Service.

An NWS advisory says "scattered to numerous" storms are expected across north and central Georgia on Monday, mostly in the afternoon and evening. A few of those storms could be severe, with damaging winds, large hail and frequent lightning.

The next few days offer more of the same. There's a 60 percent chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday and a 50-50 chance on Wednesday. We could get some relief later in the week, though.
