Georgia Weather Forecast: Showers, Then A Freeze This Week

Find out when it's supposed to rain in metro Atlanta this week and when forecasts say temperatures could get down to freezing.

ATLANTA, GA — All in all, we're looking at a fairly pleasant weather week in metro Atlanta, as spring continues to creep every closer. But it will start out with a few showers and, by the middle of the week, temperatures could drop down to freezing once again.

There's a slight chance of showers Monday afternoon, turning into a 60 percent chance by late Monday night. Those showers likely will continue into Tuesday morning, with a 90 percent chance of rain then, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies should clear up by Tuesday evening, though, and there's no more rain in the forecast for the rest of the work week. Temperatures will be mostly pleasant, with highs in the 60s during the beginning of the week and the 50s starting on Wednesday.

That's when nighttime lows could start getting pretty chilly. On Wednesday and Thursday nights, the forecast low is smack-dab at a freezing 32 degrees. That should tick back up on Friday though, when the high should be around 59 and the low will only be around 44 degrees.
