Georgia Weather Forecast: Some Storms, A Hot Father's Day

The storms keep on coming in metro Atlanta this weekend, but temperatures will keep rising, hitting their highest on Father's Day.

ATLANTA, GA — No surprise here if you've been paying attention to the weather — it's likely to be a stormy Father's Day weekend in metro Atlanta.

There's a chance of thunderstorms every single day through the weekend and almost all the way through next week, according to the National Weather Service. On Friday, scattered storms are expected to be heaviest south of Interstate 20, with a chance that some of those storms could be strong.

The storms will mainly be in the afternoon and evening, the NWS says.

Meanwhile, all that rain won't do much of anything to keep things cooled down. The first official day of summer might be Thursday, but it already feels like it in Atlanta.
