Georgia Weather Forecast: Tornadoes Possible As Alberto Rolls

See when we can expect even more thunderstorms and showers this week, and just how heavy it will get in metro Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA — The outer bands of what's left of Subtropical Storm Alberto will lash north Georgia to begin this work week — dumping more rain on an already soaked metro Atlanta and bringing with them the possibility of tornadoes.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of north and central Georgia for Tuesday, calling for "numerous to widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms" as Alberto, now a subtropical depression, moves north through Alabama.

"Isolated, brief tornadoes" will be possible with some of the storms, the NWS said.
