PGA Tour Championship 2016 Now Underway: Schedule, Tickets, Tee Times and More

Everything you need to know about the tournament now happening at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA — The 2016 PGA TOUR Championship at Atlanta's historic East Lake Golf Club begins on Thursday, Sept. 22, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 25.

Big names such as Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth will finish their fight for the FedExCup. A purse of $8.5 million is at stake, with the winner getting $1,530,000. A total of 2,000 FedExCup points are also at stake.

The East Lake Golf Club is Atlanta's oldest course and was the home course of the legendary Bobby Jones.

Things get started at 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday morning and will finish up Sunday evening. The final three hours of the broadcast, including the entire back nine featuring the final groups, will air free of national commercials, allowing shot-by-shot viewing as the final FedExCup Playoffs event draws to an end on NBC.

Friday, September 23

  • Second Championship Round
  • Gates open at 9 am
  • Will Call Hours -- 9 am-6 pm

Saturday, September 24

  • Third Championship Round
  • Gates open at 8 am
  • Will Call Hours -- 8 am-6 pm
  • Tee times begin at approximately 9:10 am
  • Music After Play with Yacht Rock Revue at 3:45 pm | Located in the SO Cool Zone

Sunday, September 25

  • Final Championship Round -- Golf's Biggest Finish
  • Gates open at 9 am
  • Will Call Hours -- 9 am-6 pm
  • Tee times begin at approximately 11:45 am
  • Closing Ceremony with trophy presentation at the conclusion of play | Located at the 18th green.
