The Scheller College of Business and the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business are thrilled to have contributed to this paper, the research behind it, and to the overall Drawdown Georgia project as a model for state-wide action on carbon reduction. The Center’s work focused on highlighting the “beyond carbon” risks and opportunities of the solutions in areas such as economic development, public health and equity. Building on this foundation of research and practical solutions, the Center is leading the establishment of the Drawdown Georgia Business Compact with participants committing to support statewide achievement of net zero emissions by 2050 through individual and collective action that advances just and sustainable outcomes. The Compact already has seven founding members—Anthem, Cox Enterprises, Google, Interface, Norfolk Southern, Southwire, and TK Elevator—and welcomes interest from others to become founding members! Please contact David Eady at [email protected] if your organization is interested.
