MIDTOWN, GA — A new chicken wing eatery has clucked into West Midtown.

With a wide selection of sauces and sides, Urban Wings opened its second location Saturday at 1825 Piedmont Avenue in Piedmont Heights.

The eatery is owned by business partners Moez Hasni and Salman Badrudein. The pair also owns the Urban Wings on Defoors Ferry Road in Atlanta, which opened in 2020.

Hasni told Patch Wednesday he and Badrudein are happy to be in the Midtown neighborhood.

"It’s a great feeling, especially with the support we’ve gotten from the community and the customer service we provide," he said.

Construction took around eight months, with the owners converting a former Subway building into the new Urban Wings.

A grand opening for the establishment was held Saturday with a bouncy house, a D, an Urban Wings buffet and other food vendors, Hasni said.

"It was kind of like a block party," he said.

Urban Wings sells bone-in wings, boneless wings, chicken tenders, panko shrimp and vegan options. Its array of sauces include Korea town, southlanta, sweet garlic, Spanish tango, teriyaki, Italian pride, orange zest, ghost pepper and hot cajun.

The eatery also serves fried mushrooms, fried green beans, curly fries, jalapeno bites, sweet potato waffle fries and various other sides.

Beer will eventually be sold, Hasni said.

"We are trying to give everyone the option to order whatever they like," he said.

He noted the business goal is to continue expansion and be the go-to wing restaurant in Atlanta.

Urban Wings has two additional locations in Decatur and Suwanee set for construction this year.

Hasni and Badrudein have been business partners since 1996. The two own eight Dunkin Donuts in Atlanta and have hotel investments, gas stations, shopping centers and Baskin Robbins establishments.

Hours of operation for Urban Wings are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.
