Kemp allegedly participated in six armed robberies of jewelry stores in in Panama City Beach, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Prosecutors say that Kemp and her conspirators pulled a gun on the employees, ordered them to the back of the store, ordered them to lay down on their faces, and zip tied them. With the employees thus subdued, Kemp and her alleged conspirators ransacked the store to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars in stolen jewelry.
