Smyrna Opens COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments After Getting 1K Doses

The city of Smyrna announced Friday that it received 1,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and appointment slots are now open for next week.

SMYRNA, GA — The city of Smyrna received 1,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, the city announced Friday, and appointments are now available for Smyrna residents next week.

Appointments can be made on the city's new vaccine appointment website, and all appointments are free. Those getting vaccinated will just need to bring their photo ID to the appointment.

Appointment slots are available April 15 and April 16.

"Smyrna has been working hard to get our hands on vaccine doses for Smyrna citizens, and we just received 1,000 Pfizer doses," the city said via Facebook on Friday.

Mayor Derek Norton said the city is also working on initiatives to bring vaccines to underserved areas throughout the city.

Vaccines will be administered in the large gym at the Smyrna Community Center at 200 Village Green Circle.
