  1. Following up on last week's story: Cobb County investigators have issued an arrest warrant for Tiffany Nicole Burley on 31 counts of felony animal cruelty charges and over 60 misdemeanors after discovering dozens of dead animals in her nearby Mableton townhome. Police went to her home for a welfare check when she failed to show up for work and found a horrific scene of destruction and deceased cats in various states of decomposition. Officials are seeking to apprehend Burley, emphasizing the seriousness of the animal cruelty and urging her to turn herself in. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
  2. On Saturday, Oct. 21, Smyrna is hosting Bulky Trash Amnesty Day from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Smyrna Public Works. Smyrna residents will have the opportunity to dispose of large, bulky trash items at no cost during this event. The goal is to help prevent illegal dumping of items like furniture, appliances, metal fencing, and more. Proof of residency is necessary to participate in this service. 3. Lucas Jakstadt has been charged with impersonating a military officer in Cobb County after he falsely claimed to be a Marine Corps Military Police Corrections Officer. Jakstadt had a stolen badge and identified himself as an officer when he called 911 to report online threats. Eventually, he confessed to lying about his military status and revealed that he had stolen the badge from a recruiting station military police officer. (WSB-TV)
